The strokeinches and the unit runs at 75 revolutions per minute. Theengine weighs 723,000 pounds and the flywheel 130,000 poThe bearings of the main shaft are 25 inches in diameter. The condensing equipment which has been installed inconnection with the new engine was built by the Blake Pump& Condenser Company, Fitchburg, Mass. This unit comprisestwin vertical air pumps with steam cylinders 18 inches indiameter designed for 200 pounds pressure. The buckets are44 inches in diameter and have a 24-inch stroke.
