BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (April 5, 2022) -- Army Gen. Laura J. Richardson, Southern Command commander, and Barbados Defence Force Chief of Staff, Commodore Errington Shurland, sign an Engagement and Cooperation Framework to enhance bilateral defense engagements and security cooperation, focused on countering transnational criminal organizations, humanitarian assistance & disaster relief, and force development. Richardson was in the country to meet with leaders and take part in the 2022 Caribbean Nations Security Conference (CANSEC 22) April 4-7.
