Cowley has returned from his vacation, which was spent in Michigan. E. H. Schultz, manager of the Way- side Gardens, Mentor, O., says that large orders of irises and peonies are being shipped from there. Prof. Alfred Uottes, of the Ohio State University, attended the meeting of the Ohio State Nurserymen's Association and was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wyant, the nursery inspector of the district. T. R. Norman has just completed a greenhouse which will be used for propagating slirubs and perennials. Andrew Jefferies, in charge of the perennial department of R. E. Hunt- ington, has had remarkable success this season witli ])erennials. Fred Endress & Son are erecting a greenliouse, 20xl(iO feet in size, which will be used exclusively for propagat- ing purposes. The wholesale price list of Honkala & Wildgren, growers of hardy peren- : nials, has just been issued.
