Among other things, Boulder is known for its wonderful tulip display on Pearl Street Mall every spring . The city then gives bags of the bulbs away to area residents later in the summer. Hundreds of people stand in line to get the bulbs. In 2018 the city planted and gave away some 14,000 bulbs.
