EXTRACTS FROM A LETTER TO MRS. JAMESON. July 271^/^,1887.— ... It is just a month since Mr. Stanley left us here. Tippu-Tib's men have not yet anived, and we are both very anxious about them, for should they noi turn up we shall have to wait here until Mr. Stanley comes back from Lake Albert Nyanza, and goodness knows when that may be, perhaps not until November. The men are mutinous enough already, and I do not like to think of what they will be like before then. I must make a lit< sketch-map of the Camp
