Crop rotation

Farm using crop rotation and residue management. Crop rotation is when a series of different crops are grown on the same land over different seasons. Crop rotation on farms improves land use and crop production by reducing erosion sediment in surface water. It also improves soil nutrient levels and breaks crop pest cycles. Crop rotation is an example of a regenerative agriculture practice. Regenerative agriculture are a collection of farming practices that improve soil health and increase biodiversity.
