Flaming star nebula (IC 405), imaged with a telescope and CMOS camera


IC 405 nebula is also known as Flaming star nebula, emission and reflection nebula in the constellation Auriga, surrounding the bluish star AE Aurigae. According to latest scientific research, proper motion of the central star can be traced back to the Orion's Belt area. Image taken with a newton telescope 600mm f/4, and modified CMOS camera. Total exposure time: 5 hours 40 minutes.
