Engraved names on window panes. Sweden

A rather odd "Guest Book" from this and later periods is made up of several window panes in the so called "Rooster room" on the second floor. Here distinguished guests engraved their names on the panes. Under Martina von Scwerin's name the flattering words "la plus belle" were engraved by Esaias Tegnér, who was enchanted by Martina. It was also Martina who had Labera built as a surprise for her husband - a ruin with which she wished to "enhance Nature's romanticism". In 1849 the Baroness sold Råda Säteri to G F Hennig , a merchant who established the textile industry in Mölnlycke making the area into a wellknown industrial centre.
