Ben Youssef Madrasa - courtyard detail reflected in central pool


The Ben Youssef Madrasa (madrasa=school or college), in the Medina, is the largest in Morocco, was one of the largest theological colleges in North Africa. Founded in the 14th century and rebuilt in mid 16th century. Closed in 1960, refurbished and reopened to the public as a historical site in 1982.
