A host of peculiar Parrots, Cuckoosand Kingfishers occur here, and to these must be added Jaca-mars and Puff-birds, Toucans, Motmots, and a vast number ofprimitive Passerine types, such as the Manakins {Pipridce),Chatterers {Cotaigidcs), Plant-cutters {Phytoioinidcr), Wood-hewers {DetidrocolaptidcE), Ant-birds {Formicariida;), Ant-wrens{CamopophagidcE) and Tapacolas {^Ptejoptochidce).
