Spurge flowers (Euphorbia cornigera). Spurges are succulents, plants that are adapted for survival in hot, arid conditions. They are covered in a waxy surface to minimise water loss, and have fleshy leaves and stems that store water. All spurges contain a milky, latex sap that is a skin irritant and poisonous when ingested.
