The Channel Gardens, Rockefeller Center, New York, 1951. Vintage linen postcard showing a midsummer view of the world famous Prometheus Fountain by Paul Manship, with flags of the United Nations in Rockefeller Plaza in the background. The Art Deco Rockefeller Center complex is made up of several buildings, fourteen of them built between 1931 and 1939. American industrialist John D Rockefeller (1839-1937) financed the project.
