Composite image of a New Moon rising in the evening twilight. During this lunar phase, the Sun and Moon align, with the Sun and Earth located on opposite sides of the Moon. This results in the side of the Moon facing Earth being in darkness and it appears as a slender crescent. Photographed on 3 August 2019, in Xinjiang, China.
