This image was taken at Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This little caterpillar was going up moving constantly and struggling with the wind. A total challenge for a macro shot; fortunately this image turned out great. The shallow depth of field blurs a portion of the caterpillar in the foreground and all the background giving the impression of a nice canvas where the main subject stands out. It’s a composition where less is more.
