ANCHUSA (The Improved Italian Alkanet or Bugloss) The improved Alkanets justly take a front rank among early summer flowering perennials. The rich blue tones of their flowers fill a vacancy in this color, of which there is never a superabundance, particularly during their flowering period, which covers the months of May and June.
