Tyneham Ghost Village 1940's St Mary's Church - 1981restored Bible & list of Parishioners

Tyneham Village Dorset and 7000+ acres of surrounding countryside were commandeered in late 1943 by the War Office (now Ministry of Defence). 225 people were displaced and despite promises made at the time never returned to the village which remains within MoD firing ranges. This Bible restored by the Royal Armoured Gunnery School lists the Parishoners of the Borough who were displaced.
