Manior à la Verriere in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, Haut-Rhin, Alsace, France was once owned by Maurice Burrus who belonged to a family of industrialists who made their name from tobacco and cigarettes. The house has since fallen into disrepair and has become a magnet for the Urban Explorers. Its “Nickname/Codename” is Châteaux Lumniere due to its fancy skylight above the main staircase.
