1935 Dennis fire engine name plate
Displayed in Macquarie Street Sydney during Australia Day 2013. Built in Guildford,UK, in 1929 and shipped to Australia and began work with the NSW fire brigade in November 1929 and cost 1,054 pounds 11 shillings and 11 pence. It arrived as a chassis without any bodywork which was late built by the New South Wales Fire Brigades workshops. Engine NO 188. It served at Cardiff from 3 /1929 until late 1961.
