The French ocean liner SS L'Atlantique. The ship caught fire in 1933 whilst sailing between Bordeaux and Le Havre to be refitted. The ship was scrapped in 1936 resulting in the payment of US$ million to Compagnie de Navigation Sud Atlantique for the loss. From These Tremendous Years, published 1938.
