From Time Out London: "The trend for ‘speakeasy’ style bars continues unabated with the opening of La Bodega Negra (‘The Black Shop’), a Mexican restaurant and bar in Soho. The Old Compton Street entrance misleadingly announces ‘Adult video’, Peep show’ and ‘Striptease’, with a bouncer guarding the entrance. In fact, it’s a daringly decorated basement restaurant with alcoves decked out in different themes, including Lucha libre (masked wrestling) and Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead). It feels as twisted as a Frida Kahlo painting. The other entrance, on adjoining Moor Street, looks rather more conventional; this takes you into a US diner-styled taqueria."
