This image was taken on a trip to China, just before boarding a train to Xi'an. The city was perfectly visible on this unusually clear day, and the framing of the sign made the composition simple. The figure walking in the foreground adds dimension to the image and the silhouette works nicely. Five minutes after taking the image, this train station was flooded with people and such a shot would not have been possible.
