A close-up photo of eight, stunning white, coneflowers, shining against a dark blurred background of flowers in a summer garden.

First Nation Americans used coneflower plant for toothache, colds, sore throat and as an analgesic. In 1870's it was patented in a coneflower mixture and sold for use in snakebites, pain and disease. Echinacea was used to boost immune system before antibiotics came along. It is still used today by some as a cold remedy, an energy booster and for general well-being.
