A view of the Saanich Inlet and Saanich Peninsula from the Malahat Viewpoint on the Malahat Highway. Mount Baker rises in the distance.

The Malahat Highway is a winding, 20-kilometre stretch of the Trans Canada Highway that straddles the mountain of the same name between Goldstream, (just north of Victoria) and the town of Mill Bay – gateway to Cowichan. The Malahat Viewpoint is located just off the Malahat Highway and offers views of the Saanich Inlet and Saanich Peninsula. On clear days, Mount Baker, the highest mountain in the state of Washington, is visible from the Malahat Viewpoint.
