School at Kroo Bay shanty town, Freetown, Sierra Leone
Floodwater from the recent rainy season has demolished a wall of sandbags at the entrance to the Sandra Hairston Literary Centre the only school in District 108 at Kroo Bay shanty town, the worst slum in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Around 230 pupils attend the school and were lucky not to be iin class when the torrent of water hit. December 2008
