Excavated Byzantine Church, Jezreel Valley, Israel


Archaeologists have found the remains of a Byzantine church that may have been built over an ancient synagogue from the time of King Ahab in the Bible, around 850 BCE, in the town of Jezreel. This was on the hill also associated with the vineyard of Navot - Naboth - whose vineyard Queen Jezebel plotted to take away from him.,
