Effects of soy baby formula research. Neuroendocrinologist placing a sample of mammary gland (breast) epithelial cells into a mass spectrometer to measure the level of soy isoflavones. This is part of a 6-year study to compare the effects of soy-based baby formula with those of breast milk and cow's milk formula. Studies on animals have shown that those fed diets high in soy have a lower incidence of breast cancer. Photographed at the Arkansas Children's Nutrition Center (ACNC), Little Rock, Arkansas, USA.
