A pair of Cal Fire Turbo Trackers and an OV-10 Bronco prepare to launch at Nevada County Air Attack Base. The Turbo Tracker is a civilian conversion of the Navy's S-2 Tracker. The Calfire fleet, formerly California Department of Forestry, includes 23 of the Turbo Trackers located throughout the state. Each aircraft is capable of carrying 1200 gallons of water or retardant and able to reach a fire within 20 minutes.
