My Bird Bath was completely frozen over, on a very cold February Morning in Wamer, Kent. I watched a Wood Pidgeon trying to get a drink and failing. I pored some hot water from my electric kettle onto it, which soon melted all the ice, allowing the local birds to continue using it.
