On the lock plate marked "Joslyn Fire Arms & Co. / Stonington Conn / 1864", patent data on bolt on reverse side. Barrel blued with light storage marks, sights colour case hardened, bolt polished white, spotted. Hammer, bolt plate, tailstock and trigger guard still weakly colour case hardened and with remnants of brown varnish. Dark walnut stock with weak storage marks. On steel butt cap marked "US".
