A lot of refugees call their family or Turkish side to tell them they are alive and they have succeeded.

Photographic series on mass arrival of refugees (Syrian, Pakistani, Afghan, Iraqi, Iranian) on the Greek island of Kos, realized in October 2015. While news is focused on the island of Lesbos, every day on the beaches of the island of Kos, there are hundreds of refugees who walk for the first time the lands of Europe. They come to risk their lives, often for the worse and for better, sometimes for the sole purpose to finally get a refugee status that confer them this small Greek island at 5 kilometers of Asia. Once landed the time on Kos should last only a few days; the needs are basic: find where to feed, where to sleep, get "paper" passport to the Athenian ferry. Meanwhile, these are long wait and survival times ranging from three days to a week, between joy of being alive, and concerns for the future of travel. In this island, forgotten by Europe of only 30,000 peoples, the help is more than necessary! When only a few NGO are struggling to give dignity ounce at 4000 average refugees who fled the war, everyone wonders how long will during this vicious cycle.
