Great Blue Heron standing motionless in Everglades Nature Park, Southern Florida. Location is the Anhinga Trail area famous for the fresh water Alligators. This is a large bird standing 4ft tall. It has long legs, long neck, daggerlike bill, and in flight, folded neck indicating a heron. It has a very deep harsh croak which can be heard all around the Everglades particularly when just taking off from rest.
