The Golden Goose and The Girls of Glitter Gulch are two famous signs along Fremont Street in Las Vegas.
Two of the most famous signs in Las Vegas are Vegas Vicki and the Golden Goose, which stand at the north end of Fremont Street across from Vegas Vick the neon cowboy. Until 1994, movies portrayed this section of Fremont street, known as Glitter Gulch, to symbolize all of Las Vegas. In 1994, Las Vegas developers closed Fremont Street to automobiles and created a pedestrian mall. The mall has a barrel vaulted ceiling complete with flashing lights that can portray a light show as well as video footage. The ceiling regularly portrays music, light shows and video footage for pedestrian visitors to Fremont street.
