The William James Stratford Waterways Information Centre for Stratford-Upon-Avon, the River Avon and surrounding areas. SWIC is based in the Bancroft Basin in Stratford is used as a toll station for both British Waterways and Avon Navigation Trust for the River Avon. The boat, which is run daily by volunteers, provides information for tourists, locals and boaters such as leaflets, tourist information, gifts and souvenirs. The William James is a toll station for both British Waterways and Avon Navigation Trust where boaters can purchase licences for the River Avon navigation.
