A taste of Chablis … Rue des Moulins, like other central streets in this small town at the heart of the Burgundy wine region in northern France, is lined with hotels, restaurants and the cellars and tasting-rooms of producers and merchants of the world-famous fine dry whites. The wines are pressed from mainly Chardonnay grapes grown around 4,000 hectares of surrounding Burgundian countryside and especially on the west-facing slopes surrounding Chablis itself.
