The three summer-flowering bulbs named below are similar in habit, and their culture is of the easiest. It is only necessary to plant them in good ordinary garden soil, in the first part of May; take them up in the fall and keep dry and warm over winter. Milla Biflora (Floating Star). This is one of the loveliestand most desira- ble of bulbs. The flowers are in pairs, of a pure waxy white, nearly two and a half inches in di- ameter; the petals are thick and leathery, of great substance, and will keep for days when cut and placed in water. Bessera Elegans. It will bloom shortly after being planted in the open ground, and will keep cn bloorning until frost.
