Postcard beach view of Edwardian people paddling in the sea at 'Children's Corner', Marine Road Central, Morecambe, UK, 1910

Postcard Number P64398, entitled 'Children's Corner, Morecambe'. The publisher is unknown. It shows large numbers of Edwardian people on the beach and promenade of the Marine Road Central, looking towards the Winter Garden Building (right of shot). The flag mast stands at the location of the Eric Morecambe Statue. The modern Morecambe Leisure Park is out of shot to the right. The picture serves to show how busy Morecambe used to be before the growth of foreign holidays onward of the 1960s. The postcard bears no stamp nor post-mark, but the scene suggests a date around 1910.
