The fine gold particles float ontop of the resulting concentrate can be treated with cyanide called cyanidation if the gold is found in gold bearing sulphide, carbonate or oxide minerals. The free gold and the gold recovered from the other minerals is then melted to produce gold bricks or ingots before further refinement.
