The Grey-headed Gull (Larus cirrocephalus) is a highly gregarious common resident in South Africa. It is found along the coast of southern Africa and further north. They are monogamous and colonial, breeding on island and wetlands. They are often seen flying low over beaches and will scavenge scraps from fishermen.
