Flat millipede (Polydesmus angustus) arthropods grouped on floating timber after heavy rainfalls flood the wetland area. Now stranded and vulnerable.


This image was taken from a boardwalk marsh land area in Warnham nature reserve Horsham UK. It shows victims of the heavy and plentiful rainfalls flooding the normally partly wet grounds. Groups of millipedes have crawled thier way out of the water to be left stranded and vulnerable on some floating rotting timber.
