A dog was inoculatedon August 1 upon the inner surface of both ears by a stab andscarification with fresh material from a lesion upon the faceof a case of uta. On September 16 upon the internal surfaceof the left ear two papules measuring 3 and 4 mm. in diameterwere observed, elevating the surface of the skin. (Plate 1.)
