Populus tremuloides were most and least similar, respectively. Canopy cover of Artemisia cana and J. horizontalis were most similar among the shrub communities. Crataegus chrysocarpa, Rosa spp., J. horizontalis, Rhus aromatica var. trilobata and A. cana, and the Mixed Shrub versus J. horizontalis were least similar. Ordination using total canopy cover suggests that Populus tremuloides, Crataegus chrysocarpa, and Salix bebbiana communities were distinct from the others (Figure 3).
