Baobab tree in Malawi. According to legend, even the gods were jealous of the size of these trees, whereupon they uprooted them and planted them the wrong way around. The trunk of this baobab tree clearly shows the scratch marks of elephant tusks. During the dry season, these trees serve as fluid reservoirs. Malawi Liwonde National Park
