Nicolas Remene / Le Pictorium - Mali: the anti-French feeling - 16/3/2022 - Mali / Bamako District / Bamako - AlHousseini Ag Aghali, with his wife and children. He holds an old photo album with some souvenirs from Timbuktu where he lived until 2012. AlHousseini is a craftsman, making leather objects and some Tuareg jewelry. He had to leave Timbuktu in 2012 because he felt threatened because he worked with tourists. He now lives in Gouana, a suburb of Bamako, where he has found refuge with his family. He is not in favor of the departure of the French today, because for him they are good partners and they brought security but also work. He used to sell handicrafts to the soldiers.
