El Montseny Natural Park is located in the Catalan Pre-coastal mountain range. With its hectares, it is the largest in Barcelona province, and hosts a great biodiversity It was declared Biosphere Reservation by UNESCO in 1978, because of its Mediterranean and central European landscapes. Geographically, it belongs to the Catalonian coastal mountain range, and on it we can find its highest summits: Turó del Home (1706 m.) and Las Agudas (1703 m.) where it is easy to find snow in the winter time. Diverse in both flora and fauna, the fall landscapes are of a breath-taking beauty. Its deep forests and hidden streams have inspired many a legend about its fantastic dwellers.
