Colley (CRAN- BERRIES April 1946) was for- merly employed by NCA, he has been on the road selling fresh fruit for the co-op he heads, and before that for the Colley Cran- berry Company. He is an ardent traveller—travel might be said to be his hobby. He has been in all the cranberry areas, and is familiar with the cranberry "trade" of the country. Now, with half a dozen men on the road for Appian Way, most of the year round, Colley finds these men can help establish better con- tacts for fresh fruit cranberry Sales. Many outlets which handle Appian Way, are also in the mar- ket for cranbei-ries in season. He figures he has learned quite a bit about merchandising, but as he gets deeper into nation-wide sales, he realizes more and more how really intense, and productive of sales, skilled merchandising can be. He has much respect for cranberry merchandising of late years, and particularly of how extremely well-known is Ocean Spray cran- berry sauce.
