Cape Bulbul or Kaapse Tiptol, South Africa


The Cape Bulbul is a shy bird which eats fruit, nectar and insects. The overall colour maybe dull and brown but it has a distinctive yellow vent beneath the tail and the head has a slight crest. The size is approximately 20cm and it is found in the Cape in coastal bush areas, thickets, gardens and parks.
