Zululand The majority of snuff-boxes seem to have been made of calabash or fruit shells or other materials. A few carved out of wood have been recorded. The boxes are all roughly egg-shaped, and may be carved with longitudinal grooves (NASKO 4828, no locality, no date) (Fig. 68). A pair of boxes may be joined. Fig. 67.
