This variety is mostly grown for its variegated foliage, the young shoots having all the shades of color from pure white to deep red, and va- rious shades of green. Flowers single, crimson. Crimson Eye. A remarkably showy and handsome hardy plant. It is a robust grower. The color is of the purest white, with a large spot of deep, velvety crimson in the center of each flower. It will suc- ceed anywhere, and is perfectly HOYA CARNOSA. (Wax Plant.) A climbing plant, with thick, fleshy leaves, bearing umbels of thick flesh-col- ored, star-shaped flowers, with a carmine center; of easy culture, and can be trained in any shape.
