Hardy Flowering Bulbs Even before the last of the snow has melted the little Snowdrops lure us into the garden as they bravely lift their white bells above the remaining snow. Winter Aconite too with its bright yellow bloom often flowers as early as the Snowdrops. While these are still in full bloom the sliowy little Chionodoxa or Glory of the Snow lifts its bright blue flowers above the rich green foliage. The earliest of the Crocus that brighten the garden are followed shortly by Scillas, Grape Hyacinths, and Giant Crocus. Soon afterwards the Fritillaria and Lily of the Valley make their debut with Anemone, Calochortus, Erj'thronium, Leucojum, and Rannunculus to succeed them.
