Pure methamphetamine is a colourless crystalline solid, sold on the streets as glass, ice, or crystal. It is also sold as less pure crystalline powder termed crank, speed, ice or crystal meth. Methamphetamine is a potent central nervous system stimulant. Methamphetamine is reported to attack the immune system, so methamphetamine users are often prone to infections of all different kinds, one being an MRSA infection. In medicine methamphetamine is used as an appetite suppressant in treating obesity, treating anaesthetic overdose and narcolepsy. Magnification: x25 when shortest axis printed at 25 millimetres.
